Cheesy Chicken Avocado Panini
A fun twist on a classic grilled sandwich, this meal idea features tasty avocado and sliced chicken from the deli. Make it extra cheesy with sharp cheddar cheese.

8 oz. | Chicken lunchmeat, from the deli, sliced |
---|---|
4 slices | Sourdough bread |
4 tsp. | Mayo |
4 | Large basil leaves |
2 slices | Sharp cheddar cheese |
1/2 | Ripe avocado, sliced thin |
4 | Thin tomato slices |
Directions
Heat a panini press or skillet to medium heat.
Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Spread 1 tsp. of mayo on each slice of bread (unbuttered side) and top with basil leaf.
Layer cheese, chicken, avocado and tomato on one slice of bread and cover with the other bread slice, mayo side in.
Place on panini press or grill in skillet until cheese melts.
