Apples, Acorn Squash, Raisins, & Boneless Wings

Apples, raisins, pecans, and boneless wings tucked in a roasted acorn squash is an easy recipe to wow any crowd.

Ingredients

Boneless wings, from the deli, quartered

Acorn squash, sliced in half, insides removed and cleaned

1 Tbsp

Vegetable oil

1

Honey crisp apple, diced

1/4 cup

Raisins

1/2 cup

Honey glazed pecans

1/4 tsp

Salt

2 Tbsp

BBQ sauce

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425℉.

  2. Brush the inside of the squash with the oil.

  3. Bake the squash in the oven for 30 minutes. Then remove from the oven.

  4. While the squash is baking, in a medium bowl, mix together the apples, raisins, pecans, wings, salt, and bbq sauce.

  5. Portion a quarter of the filling into each half of the squash. The filling might be overflowing due to the cavity size of the squash.

  6. Return the squash to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  7. Chef Tip – cut a thin layer off the bottom of each half of the acorn squash so that it sits upright when baking.
