Spring is here and you know what that means. Time to clean out the garage, reorganize the kitchen and get rid of the clutter. Here are a few tips to get you well on your way to a fresh, clean start to spring!
First, tackle the bedroom. Everyone accumulates clothes throughout the year that they longer wear. Instead of donating them, we push them to the back of the closet. Get rid of the unused clothes and accessories, then organize your closet by season, color or how often you wear the item.
Next up, the kitchen. This is where you spend a lot of time cooking meals and gathering around the table with family and friends. Sanitize your sink with soap and water, and then spray a mixture of vinegar and hydrogen peroxide to kill germs. Wipe down surfaces like cabinets, counters and your refrigerator. The stove is typically the dirtiest part of the kitchen so clean this last to avoid spreading grease and dirt.
Lastly, get the garage cleaned out. The garage seems to be where a large portion of unused household items ends up. Get rid of the junk. Say goodbye to any tools, old appliances and broken toys that are taking up space. Get organized with plastic containers to house different garden supplies, tools and other items.
After a weekend of getting ready for spring and the upcoming summer, you can now enjoy family and friends in a clean, relaxing space.
