Simply Delicious Chicken Francaise

Chicken tenders, buttery lemon sauce, fresh herbs and parmesan cheese blend perfectly for this quick chicken francaise recipe.



Chicken tenders, from the deli

2 Tbsp.

Olive oil


Shallot, finely chopped

2 cloves

Garlic, finely minced

1 tsp.

Fresh sage, finely chopped

1/4 cup

Fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup

Fresh basil, chopped

1 cup

Chicken broth


Lemon, juiced

1 Tbsp.



Salt and pepper to taste

1/3 cup

Parmesan cheese


Parsley to garnish, chopped


  1. In a large skillet, sauté the olive oil, shallots and garlic over medium heat until translucent, about 2 - 3 minutes.

  2. Add in the chicken tenders and cook for 2 minutes on each side.

  3. Add in the chicken broth, lemon juice, sage, parsley and basil. Simmer for 8 minutes, turning the chicken over half way through.

  4. Remove the chicken from the pan and place on a platter.

  5. Add the butter into the skillet and simmer for an additional minute. The sauce should reduce by half of its original volume.

  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken. Top with parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley.
