Simple Chicken Tortilla Soup
Nice southwest flavors make this a surefire family favorite. This simple soup recipe is complete with chicken, tomatoes, cilantro and topped with tortilla strips.
Ingredients
Serves4
3 cups | Baked chicken, from the deli, diced or shredded |
---|---|
1, 14.5 oz. can | Low sodium chicken broth |
1, 14.5 oz. can | Tomatoes |
1 Tbsp. | Chili powder |
2 tsp. | Fresh cracked pepper |
1 package | Tortilla strips |
1/4 cup | Cilantro leaves |
Add | Lime wedges |
Directions
Shred or dice chicken and place in pot.
Add chicken broth, chili powder, canned tomatoes. Add pepper to taste.
Heat over medium-high heat until warm.
Top with, chips and a squeeze of lime juice.
