Transform this side dish into a main course by topping it with spare ribs.

4 to 5

Spare ribs, from the deli, deboned and warmed

1 1/2 cups

Elbow macaroni

8 oz.

Cream cheese

8 oz.

American cheese

8 oz.

Whole milk

  1. Follow the manufacturing directions to cooking the pasta.

  2. While the pasta is cooking, in a 1.5 qt. glass bowl, heat the cheese and milk together for 2 minutes in the microwave. Using a wooden spoon, break up the cheese. Put the bowl back into the microwave and heat for an additional 2 minutes. Using a whisk, mix the milk/cheese mixture until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth. If needed, heat for an additional minute if the cheese doesn't melt completely. Keep warm.

  3. Toss the drained noodles into the cheese mixture and mix until evenly coated.

  4. Portion cheesy mac into the four bowls. Garnish each dish with equal portions of deboned and warm spare ribs. Serve and enjoy.
