Italian Caprese Sub

Salami, pepperoni and ham with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes and basil balsamic dressing complete this Italian caprese sub recipe.

Salami, pepperoni, and ham lunchmeat, from the deli

1/2 cup

Basil

3 Tbsp.

Olive oil

1 Tbsp.

Balsamic vinegar

1/2 tsp.

Salt

1/2 tsp.

Pepper

Dub bun

Slices of mozzarella

3 slices

Tomato

Leaves of lettuce

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine the basil, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Blend until smooth.

  2. Slice a hoagie bun in half and spread dressing on both halves.

  3. Layer the remaining ingredients and cover with the top of the bun.
