Ham and Beans

Perfect recipe for staying warm during the blustery fall game day with smoked ham slowly cooked with navy beans in a rich brown sugar sauce with hints of savory carrot and onion. 

Ingredients

1 lb.

Ham lunchmeat, thick sliced, cubed

2, 16 oz. cans

Navy beans, drained

1/4 cup

Brown sugar

2 tsp.

Ketchup

1 tsp.

Mustard

1/3 cup

Yellow onion, diced

1/4 cup

Carrot, diced

Add

Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and heat on high for one hour. Turn heat to low and cook an additional two hours.

  2. Serve with a side of warm cornbread.
