Finding Fun for the Fam

The kiddos are getting antsy. The adults are too. So how do you fill the days of “I’m bored” and “there’s nothing to do?” Here are a few fun ideas you can do while at home.

Water Balloon - If it's warm enough, this is a great way to cool off! Play tag with the balloons or the traditional water balloon toss. Try something different and hang them from low tree branches for a wet twist on the pinata!

Little Bitty Waiter - Set up the dining room like your favorite restaurant and have the kids take your order, prepare your food (here are some "No Cooking" ideas), and deliver it to your table. Tips are optional, of course!

Yard Scavenger Hunt - What better way to get kids off the couch and away from the video games then to help make them feel one with nature?  Make a fun, colorful list of items to find in categories like shapes, colors and touch, all in your very own yard.

Frozen Popsicle Chalk - Use an ice cube or popsicle tray and fill half with cornstarch, half with water, lots of food coloring or washable paint and freeze. It’s a great way to have some cool, artistic fun!

Lawn Flicks - End your day by turning your backyard into an outdoor theater. Just hook up a projector, hang a white sheet, and be ready with the popcorn!

Try some of these easy activities to cure the household boredom!
